The Dark Id’s last couple of LPs before he stopped were of the entire Shadow Hearts series from Koudelka to Shadow Hearts: Covenant. I never knew The Dark Id all that well - I did kind of hang around in the same social sphere around the time of the YIIK LP, and I knew generally about him, but I wouldn’t call us good friends or anything.

You can find his LPs on the Archive - he’s done a lot of games, including the entire Draken-NieR series and a good chunk of the Resident Evil games, along with his rather infamous LP of Limbo of the Lost, which was a direct inspiration for my YIIK LP. One of the things that got me into LPing in the first place is a screenshot LPer who goes by The Dark Id - he posted almost exclusively on SA’s LP board and was really good friends with a lot of people from there. Unfortunately, I do not have that luxury. It comes after Koudelka, Shadow Hearts, and Shadow Hearts 2, aka Shadow Hearts: Covenant.įrom The New World is a sort of soft reboot, featuring only a couple of returning characters from the previous games and having almost nothing to do (at least, as far as I know, I haven’t played it yet) with the rest of the franchise.
